Peak Season & Tioga Pass Timing
Yosemite Valley = year-round. Glacier Point Road: closed to vehicles Nov-May (snow). Tioga Pass (Highway 120 through the high country) opens late May/June and closes with first heavy snow (Oct-Nov). For a group that wants Tuolumne + high-country, aim for late June through late September. Peak Valley crowds July-Aug — May, Sept, October ideal for group coach access.

The Ahwahnee (historic luxury) and Yosemite Valley Lodge (bulk of Valley beds) sell out 6-12 months ahead. Curry Village tent cabins are best for large budget groups. Outside-park options: Wawona (30 min from Valley), Fish Camp (near Mariposa Grove), Groveland (Highway 120 west), Oakhurst (south, Highway 41). Bigger group inventory, easier bulk booking.
Coach Vehicle Restrictions
Yosemite Valley: all coach sizes fine. Glacier Point Road: 45-foot coaches allowed. Tioga Pass (Highway 120 high country): 45-foot coaches allowed but tight switchbacks — experienced driver required.
