We are not a packaged tour company, and we don't sell seats on a scheduled tour. Your group chooses the dates, destinations and hotels (or a tour coordinator does it for you), and we provide the coach and a professional driver for the whole trip, from your own pickup point to the last drop-off. Some senior travel companies (Collette, Grand Circle, Road Scholar) bundle their own coordinators and tours; with US Bus Trips you get just the coach and driver for your group's own itinerary.

Cross-Country and Multi-State Senior Tours
A cross-country bus tour for seniors works best as a string of shorter driving days with a hotel night between long legs, not a marathon run. We plan the route around your group's pace, meals and hotel check-in times. Drivers follow federal hours-of-service rules, so very long days may need a second driver, and we show that on the quote. Comfort Features Seniors Care About
Motor coaches have reclining seats, reading lights, climate control, Wi-Fi and an on-board restroom. We plan rest stops about every 90–120 minutes and build extra loading time into the schedule (15–20 minutes instead of the 5–7 a school group needs). Overhead bins keep medications, purses and jackets close. Lift-equipped coaches can be requested for travelers who use wheelchairs; inventory is limited, so tell us at booking.

Booking Windows and Payment
Senior trips: book 4–6 months ahead, earlier for fall foliage and holiday shows. A 50% non-refundable deposit holds the trip; the remaining balance is due 14 days before your trip and must be paid no later than 7 days before departure, and trips booked 14 days out or less are paid in full at booking. Many senior centers use a group trip fund: the center books and pays as one group, then collects from members. Driver gratuity is included in the US Bus Trips price. Lift-equipped coach requests must be made at booking.

Do you sell scheduled senior bus tours with set departure dates?
No. US Bus Trips does not publish a calendar of upcoming senior bus tours or sell seats on a packaged tour. Your senior center, retirement community or club picks the dates and the itinerary, and we arrange the charter coach and driver for your group only. If you want a ready-made itinerary, start from one of our sample multi-day bus tours and we will adjust it.
Can you plan a cross-country or multi-state bus tour for seniors?
Yes. Long-haul, multi-day and multi-state trips are what we do. For seniors we plan shorter driving days, regular rest stops and hotel nights between long legs. How are wheelchairs, walkers and scooters handled?
Tell us at booking how many folding wheelchairs, walkers and scooters are coming and whether anyone needs to stay seated in a wheelchair while traveling. Folding devices usually ride in the luggage bay. Lift-equipped coaches can be requested, but inventory is limited and a lift may reduce seating, so we confirm it before the quote is final.
Who runs the trip day to day: you or our staff?
Your staff or a tour coordinator you hire looks after the group; the driver looks after the coach and the road. We can recommend tour coordinators, or you can bring your own. Senior travel companies that package their own guided tours work differently; with us you get the coach and driver for your own trip.
